A coroner has now been given an update by police about the ongoing investigation into the death of the teenager. Casey, who was from Mossley and went to Mossley Hollins High School in Tameside, had been in the care system and was living in Liverpool at the time of her death.
Tragically, she had been found unresponsive at a property on Sheepridge Road, Huddersfield, in the early hours of August 11 last year. A boy, 16, was arrested at the time on suspicion of murder and rape and was later released on conditional bail, West Yorkshire Police said previously.
