Police have released a CCTV picture of two people they want to speak to after an elderly woman had £400 in cash snatched from her handbag in a ‘distraction theft’ in Oldham.
The victim had drawn the cash out from a local bank, placed it in an envelope and then into her bag. Police believe she was then followed to a local shop.
She was ‘specifically targeted’ by a man and woman who approached her as she waited in a queue and then ‘distracted’ her. Once the woman got to the checkout, she realised her cash had gone.
