Coronavirus cases are currently surging in many areas of Greater Manchester.
The number of cases has more than doubled week-on-week in Manchester, Salford, Bury, Trafford, Tameside and nearly trebled in Stockport.
It comes amid rises in cases in 75 percent of all local authorities in England, as ministers grapple as to whether and to what extent it may effect the planned unlocking later this month.
An interactive map shows the number of positive Covid test results in each neighbourhood across the country using Office for National Statistics (ONS) data.
The latest version of the map reveals the number of infections per ‘neighbourhood’ per 100,000 people in the week ending Wednesday, June 2.

Areas with rates over 400 are shaded purple with those between 200 and 399 dark blue, and those between 100 and 199 light blue.
Bolton found itself at the epicentre of the country’s battle with the virus, following an outbreak that began last month associated with the Indian variant of the virus, now also referred to as the Delta variant.
The four neighbourhoods with the highest rates in the region are in Bolton, Rumworth South, Halliwell & Brownlow Fold, Kearsley & Stoneclough and Farnworth North.

City Centre North and Collyhurst and Castlefield and Deansgate in central Manchester and Norris Bank in Stockport are the only other areas with rates above 400.
However the colour of the map is a stark contrast to just a month ago with a surge in cases seeing many more areas shaded dark and light blue compare to the swatches of green and yellow, represting rates below 49 and 9 respectively.
Here we look at the current highest rates in each borough.
Bolton

Despite a steady decline in recent days, at 318.2, the infection rate in Bolton remains the highest in the region and the second-highest in the country.
However it is also the only Greater Manchester borough where the number of cases is currently decreasing,
The area with the highest rate in Bolton, and Greater Manchester as a whole, is Rumworth South, which has a current rolling rate of 574.9. There are currently 48 cases in the ward, but that is down by six, 11.1 percent, in the last week.
Halliwell and Brownlow fold has the second-highest rate at 5551. However the trend there is also down with the number of cases decreasing by 111, 19pc, in the last seven days.
At 534.3, Kearsley and Stoneclough, on Bolton’s border with Salford, now has third highest rate after a jump of 46 in the number of cases, equivalent to 383.3pc.
At 483.9 Farnworth North also has a rate higher than anywhere in Greater Manchester outside Bolton

Cases have more than doubled in the Manchester City Council area in the past week, and it saw the fifth-highest increase in its rate in the country in those seven days.
At 189.6 its infection rate is the second-highest in the region.
Two central wards currently have infection rates over 400.
City Centre North and Collyhurst now has a rolling rate of 462.3, with 34 cases, up by 20, or 142.9pc, week-on-week.
At 421.9, Castlefield and Deansgate has the next highest. There are 31 cases there, up 26, a whopping 520pc in the last week.
All other areas’ rates are below 400.
However a number currently have rates above 300 with the next highest Hulme Park and St George’s, which neighbours Trafford, at 363.9. It has 24 cases, up by 242.9pc in the last week.
Salford
Salford has seen a similar rise in its rate, with cases more than doubling week-on-week according to the latest data, leaving its infection rate at 175.4.
Salford currently has no areas shaded purple on the map, meaning no areas of the borough have a rate of above 400.
However, a number of the areas are shaded dark blue as their rates are between 200 and 399.
The highest is Cromwell Road and Broad Street where a 342.29pc increase in cases to 31 sees its current rate at 384.1.
Salford Central and University has 58 cases, up by 40, 222pc week-on-week with its rolling rate is currently 383.2.
Swinton West has a rate of 301.6 after a 157pc increase in cases to 18, leaving its rate at 301.6.
Bury
Public health chiefs in Bury have warned they “could be the next Bolton” after a spike in cases.
Case numbers there are up 100 percent week-on-week with its rate 173.8.
None of its neighbourhoods currently have infection rates of over 300.
The highest is central ward Whitehead Park. Its rolling rate is 296.8 with 18 new cases of a total of 22 recorded in the last week, a jump of 450pc.
Ramsbottom has 25 cases, up 66.7pc week-on-week, leaving its rate at 278.7.
Whilst 14 of Nuttall and Tottington’s 18 cases were recorded in the last week, a rise of 350pc, leaving its rate at 240.5, the third highest in the borough.
Stockport
The number of cases in Stockport has nearly trebled in the last week.
In the week ending June 2, case numbers went up by 190pc in the borough leaving its rate at 146.2.
And it has only the second neighbourhood in the region outside Bolton to have a rate of over 400 and be shaded purple on the map.
That is Norris Bank which has seen a 271.4pc increase in cases to 26 in the last week. That leaves its rolling rate at 408.
The rate in Cheadle Heath is just a shade under 400 at 379.5. 31 of its 35 cases were recorded in the last week, an increase of 775pc.
The next highest, Central Stockport, Portwood and Shaw Heath was considerably lower at 237.4 with 18 cases, 16 recorded in the last week, an increase of 800pc.
Rochdale
Rochdale has seen a more modest increase in cases in the last week compared to some other boroughs, but cases were still up by more than half at 61pc.
Only two areas have a rate of above 200.
They are Wardleworth & Newbold Broww whose rolling rate of 210.9 is the highest in the borough. However, its case rate was actually down by fiver percent week-on-week.
Hurstead and Smallbridge recorded 10 new cases this week taking its total to 17 and its rate to 207.2.
Central Rochdale & Mandale Park had the third-highest rate at 189.4.
Trafford
Trafford is another area that has seen a big jump in the number of cases.
Its rate was up by 115pc to 117.5 in the week ending June 2.
Firswood has seen its rate rise to 358.5 after 20 new cases were recorded, a rise of 181pc.
It currently has four neighbourhoods shaded dark blue on the map as their rates are above 200.
The highest is Firswood, which neighbours Manchester.
It has 31 total cases, an increase of 181pc week-on-week leaving its rate at 358.5.
Nieghbourhing Old Trafoord which has 30 cases has a rate of 264.8,
Whilst Urmston West in the western half of the borough saw 16 of its 18 cases recorded in the last week, an increase of 800pc, leaving its rate at 258.
Wigan
Wigan had a rate of 116.5 for the week ending June 2, up by 75pc on the last seven days.
It has three areas whose rate is now above 200.
The neighbourhood with the highest rate in the borough is Wigan South whose 23 cases leave its rolling rate at 251.6.
Atherton North, which borders Bolton, has 22 cases and a rate of 245.
Whilst Wigan Marylebone & Bottling Wood with 19 cases, 14 of which were recorded in the last week, has a rolling rate of 235.8.
Oldham
Once having the one of the highest infection rates in the country and one of the first places to be subject to localised restrictions last year, Oldham now has the second lowest rate in the region at 87.3. And at 42pc it also saw the slowly monthly increase.
None of its areas have rates above 200.
The highest current rate is in Holt Lane End and Bardsley which borders Manchester. It has 10 cases, up by seven on last week, a rise of 233pc which leaves its rolling rate of 185.2.
Chadderton Central has 15 cases and a rate of 170.5.
Whilst Failsworth East has 11 cases and a rate of 142.9.
Tameside
At 85.2, Tameside has the lowest rate in the borough but it increased by 133pc in the week ending June 2.
The three areas where the rise is currenty most reflected are all in or around Hyde.
Cheetham Fold and Gee Cross has seen 11 new cases this week, a rise of 550pc, taking its total to 13 and its rate to 180.7, the highest in the borough.
Mottram, Hollingworth & Broadbottom also saw eight of new cases take its total to 10 and irts rate to 168.5.
Whilst Godley also saw eight new cases taking its total to 10 and a rate of 153.
