Boy, 16, charged after two women threatened before having their car stolen

A teenager has been arrested and charged after a car was stolen from two woman in an Oldham supermarket car park. Police are still hunting for a second man linked to the incident in August.

The incident happened in the Greenfield area of Oldham with two women threatened before their vehicle was taken. Police say they have now charged a 16-year-old boy for robbery over the incident.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Tameside Youth Court later this month. Cops have re-shared an image of another suspect they are looking for in connection with the incident.

A GMP spokesman said: “We’ve arrested and charged a 16-yer-old boy from Oldham with robbery. He’s been remanded and will be appearing at Tameside Youth Court on 22 November.
